An important step for Lafert was accomplished when on 12 January, the Suzhou plant officially obtained the ISO9001:2008 certificate.
The Operations Manager from Lafert Suzhou, Gabriele Locatelli, reflected on the achievement “The work lasted about a year because painstaking work was required to integrate those standards already implemented by Lafert Suzhou with the equivalent GB/T19001-2008 standards”. The certificate issued by IQNet (The International Certification Network) and CQC (China Quality Certification Centre) acknowledges the Quality System that underlies the production, logistics, sales and human resources involved in the production of permanent magnet motors.
Locatelli continued “Having brought the production process of Suzhou motors under control, it enables us to keep abreast of the high quality standards required by the market and which Lafert has always guaranteed”. The ISO9001:2008 certificate is, in fact, further confirmation of the skill to provide products that fulfil customer requirements, ensuring constant improvement and compliance with high quality, safety and environmental standards.
In all its production sites, Lafert offers the same quality standard for the supply of automation components. A total guarantee for partners and customers anytime, anywhere. “The Quality System certificate was an important step forward to respond in a concrete way to the expectations of our international partners in the Asian market. In fact, our customers in China” Locatelli added, “are often multinational companies whose expectations in terms of quality and stability of processes are identical to those they have with our other production sites”.
