Our email address goes global

The Lafert team will begin using the @shi-g.com email address. Our email address becomes global: in fact, “shi” represents Sumitomo Heavy Industries and “g” stands for “global”.

Same Great Lafert Group
Our email addresses are changing. But that’s all. We’ll still be Lafert Group, the global manufacturer of electric motors as you already known. From Oct 18th, 2021 the Lafert team will begin using the @shi-g.com email address. Our email address becomes global: in fact, “shi” represents Sumitomo Heavy Industries and “g” stands for “global”. Switching to the new email address of all Lafert users will take a few weeks, and during this time you can still receive emails from your current address @lafert.com.

Let's change the address to collaborate best
We’re improving in different areas and investing in new IT and CRM systems. To fully utilise these applications, we need to integrate some of them into the Sumitomo Heavy Industries Ltd (SHI) global network, the big industrial group we are partnering with from some years. This will ensure an improved level of service both internally and externally.

We are always Lafert Group
Lafert is a globally recognized group, manufacturer of the highest quality, customized and innovative electric motors. The Lafert brand will not be changed in the name, we are only ensuring that our IT systems can best collaborate with our international colleagues within the Sumitomo Heavy Industries group. The domain of the website will stay www.lafert.com, retaining its function as corporate website for Lafert Group.

Do you need to do anything?
You’ll simply see a different email address from your Lafert contacts when they transfer. We’d suggest you add their new details to your email application’s contacts. This will ensure they pass through any spam or security systems within your IT system. After the transfer we will still receive @lafert.com emails for a period of time. However, we’d suggest you use the new email addresses once they’ve transferred.
