Lafert Group has appointed a new Managing Director. Cesare Savini, who has a wealth of international business management experience, joined the company in April.
He has already hit the road running having met the teams at Lafert in Italy before heading to Hannover Messe where he met people from the Lafert European organization.
Cesare can count on a brilliant background with a management career in multinational companies and significant assignments spent abroad where he developed his managerial leadership and personal competences.
The experiences he’s been involved in China, Czech Rep, Mexico and Italy allowed him to get an international mindset and the ability to work with people from different cultures.
Experience of growing businesses
After graduating in Electrical Engineering, Cesare began working for Pirelli in the Operations initially in Italy, and then he moved to China for 8 years as General Manager, leading to great success first in the Chinese market and later expanding into the Asian market two Companies built from green field.
In 2009 he came back to Europe for ITT, a large multinational USA company, where he spent 12 years. He joined as General Manager of ITT Czech Republic for 6 years, and he added also the role of After Market Director of the Group. Later on, he moved to Mexico where he spent 3 years as General Manager of ITT Mexico bringing to full operations, again from green field, the ITT footprint for the American automotive market.
In 2019 he returned to Italy with the role of Vice President and General Manager of the ITT Friction business worldwide with full responsibility on global base, legal representative and member of the Board.
In 2022 he joined Zoppas Industries Heating Element Technologies as Chief Operating Officer Americas, based in Mexico. Here he had full responsibility of the business of Zoppas Industries for the American continent.
