The Alumni Association of the University of Padua, in collaboration with Lafert Group and the patronage of the School of Engineering of the University of Padua, promotes the first edition of "Industry 5.0 and AI - New technologies to support the design of products and processes".
The initiative is promoted as part of the STEM Byte project – Gender balance in scientific and technological knowledge of Confindustria Veneto SIAV. At first, the project was reserved for female students only, but given the large participation and requests from students, it was decided to open up to the male gender as well.
We are at the forefront of the project, becoming the concrete case study to experiment and deepen the most innovative Industry 5.0 and AI technologies and their impact in an international and structured company.
THE PROJECT
18 students, most of whom are foreigners, enrolled in master's and single-cycle master's degree courses at the School of Engineering of the University of Padua carried out a project work (individually or in groups) focused on the possible applications of 5.0 technologies and Artificial Intelligence (AI), starting from the analysis of Lafert's current design and production processes.
The project aimed to explore the opportunities for the use of new technologies in the Industry 5.0 field for Lafert with a specific focus on the use of Artificial Intelligence as a tool for optimizing the design of products and processes. It also aimed to encourage the inclusion of young female students in the world of work in the engineering and scientific fields by increasing awareness of the added value that women can bring to organizations both in terms of knowledge and soft skills.
