CEMEP (the European Committee of Manufacturers of Electrical Machines and Power Electronics) has re-structured with the aim of improving effectiveness and visibility in Europe and worldwide. CEMEP seeks to ensure that the positions and interests of the four sectors represented by CEMEP are clearly communicated to national and European authorities, as well as other stakeholders such as European sector committees and international standards bodies.
Thus the work carried out since the beginning of 2013 led to a plenary meeting on the 15th of November 2013 where all four "Industry Groups" met to lay the foundations of the new CEMEP structure with the adoption of the draft statutes and structure. CEMEP members then elected the new President, the Secretary General (Mr. Andrea Solzi, ANIE) and members of the "President's Board".
