Lafert S.P.A. has obtained the ISO 45001 Health and Safety Certification

"Safety First" is the value that has guided us in the process of acquiring the ISO 45001 Workers' Health and Safety Management Certification. The continuous training and attention paid by each employee have been fundamental in achieving this great result.

ISO 45001 is the global international standard for occupational health and safety created to protect employees and visitors from accidents and illnesses in the workplace. ISO 45001 certification has been developed to eliminate all factors that can cause irreparable harm to employees and the company. The ultimate goal of the standard is to help companies in ensuring a healthy and safe working environment for their employees and all those who visit the workplace.

The goal of prioritizing health and safety in the company can only be achieved by controlling the factors that can cause potential injury or illness, both the most obvious and all the small actions that are taken for granted daily within the workplace.

We have implemented the complete reorganization of production areas and workbenches to identify the fastest and most effective emergency routes, passages and exits, eliminating all those obstacles that over the years can escape the less experienced eyes. The staff is periodically trained on safety issues and the management of unforeseen events such as spilling toxic liquids. We firmly believe in the importance of creating a corporate culture that revolves around health and safety because each of us within the workplace have a responsibility to do our part in creating a safe environment for everyone.

In recent years we have accomplished some important results by minimizing the number of accidents occurring at the workplace to historically low numbers. The ISO 45001 certification is just a starting point, a piece of the largest project to make Lafert an increasingly modern, safe and respectful company to both the environment and people.
