We participated in PMI Day 2022 by opening the doors of our San Donà plants to the students at the Italo Calvino Institute of Jesolo
Friday November 18th was the PMI DAY 2022, the 13th National Day of Small and Medium Enterprises. We participated by hosting the thirteen-age students of the Italo Calvino Institute of Jesolo, accompanied by their teachers.
The initiative, organized annually by Confindustria Venezia, aims to bring new generations closer to the business world and its opportunities through guided company tours, presentations, and meetings.
We enthusiastically welcome these initiatives by demonstrating our attitude towards collaboration, our closeness to the territory and the impact we want to have on society. For us, opening the doors of our company to young people is a socially sustainable action, it means creating moments of ethical and transparent training for the young people of our community.
PMI DAY 2022 at Lafert
After the project introduction and presentation by Confindustria Venezia and Lafert, the 45 students involved were guided by competent Lafert staff to visit the production plants of San Donà, the heart of our operations.
The PMI DAY, which takes place in Italy and abroad, involves hundreds of companies and thousands of participants every year, allowing young people to experience the company and to see how the products and services are produced. At Lafert, the students were also educated on the history of the company, the pride and the daily commitment of those who are part of it.
They learned the production process of our motors through all departments: from winding, to turning, to assembly. They also had the opportunity to visit the new plant inaugurated last month, to safely see our automated production lines and anthropomorphic machines.
PMI DAY 2022: the edition dedicated to the beauty of Made in Italy
Since 2010, during the PMI Day, small and medium-sized enterprises associated with Confindustria open their doors to young people for guided tours and meetings. The initiative in the field of social sustainability is designed to help spread knowledge about the companies, the opportunities they can offer and their daily commitment to local and territorial growth.
The 2022 edition was dedicated to the theme of beauty: the beauty of Made in Italy, an expression of the skills, values and culture that we find in all Italian products. Beauty as a distinctive character and competitive factor that comes from the ability to do well.
The day allows young people to learn about the value of work and the process of transforming an idea into a project and a project into a concrete result. It shares the beauty of taking responsibility even beyond the gates of the company, of coming together to share knowledge and new goals.
The initiative has an international value: under the patronage of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Education, it has been included in the Week of Corporate Culture organized by Confindustria and in the European SME Week promoted by the European Commission.
