A more comfortable and sustainable commute for everyone We are a company committed to sustainability, attentive to the needs of our employees and to preserving everything around us.
We have always pursued a model of industrial development based on the principles of sustainability, transparency and quality. We make concrete commitments with the aim of creating value for all. For this reason, we went into depth on the topic of mobility, mainly on the commute of our employees.
We asked our employees to fill out a short questionnaire anonymously, with the aim of collecting precise information on the current state of travel to work and, in general, on their transport habits. As a result,
about 50% of them live in San Donà di Piave and neighboring municipalities and take more than 15 minutes to get to work. The most used means of transport is your own car. All the information collected through the questionnaire was analyzed and summarized in the document called Home-Work Travel Plan (HWTP), created for the year 2022 and considering only the San Donà di Piave plant as a perimeter of analysis. The document is part of the certified Environmental Management System of Lafert S.p.A. with voluntary adoption, in accordance with ISO 14001: 2015.
We have taken this commitment seriously by appointing a Corporate Mobility Manager, an internal representative and facilitator of communications with the Area Mobility Manager for all aspects and projects related to mobility.
During the drafting of the Travel Plan, the Corporate Mobility Manager, together with the working group involved, analyzed the information collected considering the various aspects and the strengths and weaknesses that they brought out. These considerations have led to the
identification of potential opportunities for improvement through the identification of precise measures that Lafert S.p.A. could adopt in the following years,
such as the possible introduction of systems for sharing the means of transport on the way to work (car sharing), or the adoption of internal policies aimed at encouraging the smart working of employees, or even the replacement of company vehicles with fully electric or plug-in cars. As evidence of the importance that these aspects have for Lafert, the measures indicated within the HWTP were also highlighted in the Lafert Group's Sustainability Plan, a document containing the objectives and strategic actions in the field of ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) that the Group is committed to achieving over the next 3 years.
Lafert S.p.A. will therefore be engaged in the feasibility study of the measures contained in the document, with the dual objective of achieving greater sustainability within its business and facilitating the movement of its employees, thus ensuring greater safety and an improvement in the environmental impact on the territory.
