WindEnergy:  the global event dedicated to Wind Energy technologies.

Hamburg Every two years in Hamburg takes place the world fair dedicated to wind energy: an opportunity for designers, manufacturers, equipment suppliers and financiers to meet and present themselves and the latest innovations. WindEnergy, the most important trade fair in the world for the sector, hosts more than 1400 exhibitors, 35000 visitors from 48 nations of the world. In this edition, all technologies for wind will be focused on the development of offshore wind farms, which implies a greater attention to corrosion protection and the design of turbines larger than on-shore ones.

2022 will be a very special edition: in fact, two huge world events for the wind sector will take place together in Hamburg, the WindEnergy Hamburg fair and the WindEurope Conference (Global Wind Summit).

The Global Wind Summit is the world's most important conference in the wind industry that attracts thousands of spectators. Combining the two events will create the largest and most international meeting place, business, and information gathering for the entire wind industry both onshore and offshore.

Lafert solutions for the wind industry

Lafert has designed a range dedicated to applications in the wind industry, which includes asynchronous and permanent magnet motors that offer different levels of efficiency, IE2-IE3-IE4-IE5. Single- and two-speed asynchronous motors, two-speed permanent magnet motors controlled by a frequency converter or integrated packages: our special solutions are characterized by high performance, reliability and compactness.

We have also developed specific mechanical and electrical configurations for particular applications, as well as mechanical components and painting systems that guarantee very high corrosion protection in offshore environments.

Finally, for applications that require special attention to motor efficiency and weight, Lafert offers a complete range of IE5 permanent magnet motors, which typically weigh half than an asynchronous motor for the same power/size.

We will present our specific solutions for the different motorizations of the wind turbine: Yaw and Pitch control, oil hydraulics, pumps, ventilation and lifting of people and materials.
