Processing packaging and machinery association: The PPMA show will be held again from Sept 26th to 28th in Birmingham (UK). This exhibition showcases the latest technology from the packaging industry.

Lafert will display a sample of the range of Premium Efficiency IE3 motors in compliance with the requirements of the updated European Directive in force from Jan 2017. Also featuring on Lafert’s stand will be the innovative generation of PM Synchronous Motors, specifically designed for HVAC application and achieving IE4/IE5 efficiency level.

In addition, Brian Bannister, Managing Director of Lafert Electric Motors Ltd. states: “We will be on hand to ensure that all our customers are fully aware of recent legislation changes and of course to explain some of the many benefits of Lafert motors”. A three day opportunity to meet visitors ranging from engineers and manufacturers of processing and packaging machinery, to component and materials suppliers, all looking for new solutions and ideas.

Bannister comments: “Lafert here in the UK have seen a significant increase in interest from new and existing customers towards our range of permanent magnet motors, for both the efficiency benefits and also the reduction in size and weight when compared to a standard AC motor. We are currently working with several major OEMs assisting with testing and development through to implementation of these permanent magnet motors of stand-alone and integrated drive designs”.

The goal for 2018 – the Managing Director concludes – is to continue doing what we do best: demonstrate our ability to supply motors to a level of customisation and reliability that many of our competitors cannot achieve, whilst ensuring our customers receive the level of service necessary for their own businesses.”
