In recent years, there has been a sharp rise in the use and application of Renewable Energies. Investments in this sector have experienced a steady growth for over a decade, which has led to a doubling of the global capacity of renewable electricity between 2005 and 2015.

Among these, wind power has become a major source of energy generation within Europe and in many other countries. Lafert Sales Manager, Davide Bravin comments on this market “Lafert keep growing in this sector year after year because we have, and will continue to, invest in new technologies.” Bravin further states: “We can continue to grow in this sector with double-digit percentages over the next five years. Today the European market is strong especially in the area of offshore wind which is growing in Germany and in the UK.”

From 12 to 15 September Lafert will exhibit for first time at Husum Wind in Germany, the leading trade fair dedicated to the wind power industry for more than 25 years. “For the occasion”, Bravin explains: “We will showcase some typical motors used within this sector that are designed for specific applications. We aim to demonstrate our ability to meet a wide range of needs, for example: AC motors, self-braking motors in various sizes and powers, permanent magnet motors and brushless servo motors for YAW and Pitch, also featured will be Lafert’s technological know-how in bringing the benefits of high-efficiency and high -control motors to the wind power sector”.

Lafert Sales Manager continues “Our self-braking YAW motor for Nacelle rotation will certainly be on display along with special Power pack or Cooling solutions. Other products on display will demonstrate cutting-edge technology specifically for use in various wind turbine applications, this ability to customise makes Lafert leader in the wind power market.”
