The Drives & Controls Exhibition, the UK’s leading trade fair that brings together all the latest motion control and automation systems involved in achieving the best motion control solutions, is back in Birmingham from 12th to 14th April. In 2014, the biennial show that has become a well-established event over the last 10 years, reported more than 13,000 visitors and this year it will have more than 400 exhibitors to attract still more visitors.
“The Drives & Controls show is a key opportunity to showcase our latest products to our partners, as well as existing and potential clients, and exchange ideas with them,” says Lafert Electric Motors MD Brian Bannister. “Plus, we’ll have the chance to explain the benefits of our high-efficiency motors, which feature all the performance requirements set out in EU Commission Regulation 4/2014 due to come into force in January 2017.”
“During the trade show we’ll present our range of 50Hz IE3 Premium Efficiency Motors, 60Hz Premium Efficiency Nema Motors certified by the US Department of Energy, and our innovative generation of IE4 permanent magnet Synchronous Motors optimised for HVAC applications,” says the Managing Director. “These are complemented by our increasingly compact range of Brushless Servo Motors for industrial automation together with a representative selection of customised motor solutions designed and manufactured by Lafert.”
“We want to work closely with our clients and partners to provide information, support and guidance over these next nine months to help them achieve compliance in time for the implementation of the Regulation in January 2017, which extends the minimum performance level, IE3, to 0.75 – 375kW motors. We want to have the right solutions in line with current regulations to satisfy multiple needs and become a standard-setting company in the sector.”
