The latest opening of the AHR Exhibition was record-breaking due to its size and the number of participants. From 26 to 28 January, Chicago was invaded by 62,000 visitors from more than 140 countries around the world. “During this three-day event, Lafert raised huge interest," says the President of Lafert NA, Sean Hickey. "In fact, our brand is well-established at an international level and stands out from the competition thanks to the proven quality of our products and our know-how, which allows us to produce customised, cutting-edge products."
In 1989, Lafert set out on its American adventure: three people working in a 300 square metre site. Today, it is one of the major established companies in the sector, as well as a key player in the international success of the Lafert Group. The company's current headquarters in Toronto measure 2,600 square metres, now with 24 employees, 11 of which are part of Sales and Customer Service. In addition to the main stocks held conveniently between Canada and the USA in Toronto, the company has seven other stocking locations around North America. Industrial automation, packaging, food processing and HVAC are the main sectors in which Lafert NA operates actively.
“Lafert is the ideal partner for the world market and," Hickey continues "the sales trend has continued to grow over the last 10 years. Specifically, 90% of Lafert NA's sales take place in the USA. In 2014, we extended and strengthened our commercial presence through recruiting and making greater investments in advertising and trade fairs. Furthermore, in 2014, we won the AHR Best Green Award Product, which proves the excellence of our products."
With regard to this year, Hickey points out: “For 2015, our main goal will be to increase Lafert's visibility, sales volume and customer base for the range of permanent magnet synchronous motors in the Super Premium efficiency class. These products represent the future in terms of OEM requirements. We are also trying to increase our presence in fields such as pumps and air movement."
“Lafert will continue to design, manufacture and distribute high-quality products because this is our strength. We will not be reducing our prices due to the spreading of cheap, low-quality and scarcely reliable products. The economic situation in North America – the President continues - is particularly favourable compared to the rest of the world, since many American companies are bringing their production back to the USA. All this will create new growth opportunities and revitalise the social and economic structure. We want to seize this great opportunity – Hickey concludes - by offering our services, experience and the wide range of Lafert products.”
