The Commission Regulation 640/2009 states that from 1 January 2015, motors with a rated output of 7.5 - 375 kW shall meet the IE3 efficiency level, or meet the IE2 efficiency level and be equipped with a variable speed drive (VSD).
After the deadline of 1 January 2015 it will be the buyer's responsibility to ensure that such IE2 motors placed within the European Economic Area (EEA) are put into operation with a variable speed drive (VSD).
In order to meet future requests for motors with rated output from 7.5kW and efficiency class IE2 to be placed within the EEA market Lafert will attach the following label.
